Tentative Statement of Problem and List of Inputs The Administration for Children Services has been experiencing a rapid employee turn over which can be attribute to high caseloads and lack of employee training. The purpose of this research is to evaluate whether training is an effective method to increase employee retention within the NYC Administration for Children Services. This research will focus on effective training programs and how it impacts employee retention. After determining the level of employee commitment through a survey, the results will be shared in a focus group that will discuss a plan on how to enhance employee retention through training.
The focus group will consist of 4 participants and a survey which will target approximately 12 supervisors and 60 Child Protective Specialist. Throughout my research, I will utilize qualitative and quantitative research.
